One
major role of Hong Kong is to serve as
a regional hub and a base for international
and increasingly, mainland companies,
to manage their business operations in
East Asia. A complementary role is to
serve as a two-way springboard for companies
from around the world wishing to access
the mainland of China, in particular,
the Pearl River Delta, and from mainland
companies, to launch themselves into the
international marketplace.
Donald Tsang, HKSAR,
Chief Executive
Hong Kong, as an international gateway
to mainland China, could be an ideal choice
for a major trade event such as Asian
Aerospace. The CAAC always believes that
direct exchanges and communication between
China's civil aviation and the world's
major aviation manufacturers could contribute
to both parties¡¯ better understanding
of each other.
Yang Yuan Yuan, Minister,
General Administration of Civil Aviation
of China (CAAC)

The
Civil Aviation Department of Hong Kong
welcomes the news that Asian Aerospace
is moving here. This reflects the strong
position of Hong Kong as the aviation
hub in the region.
Norman S.M.Lo JP,
Director-General of Civil Aviation, Civil
Aviation Department,
The Government of the Hong Kong Special
Administrative Region
The decision by Reed Exhibitions, a world
leader in event management, to bring Asian
Aerospace to Hong Kong, is a significant
step in the development of both aviation
and exhibition businesses in the Greater
Pearl River Delta. We look forward to
welcoming Asian Aerospace and the business
visitors from around the world to Hong
Kong.
