China's Government has signed agreements covering 102 Airbus aircraft, including 10 A350s, during a visit by Chinese president Hu Jintao to France.
Airbus states that these agreements include 66 new orders. They comprise 10 A350s, six A330s and 50 A320-family jets.
The airframer has not detailed the individual carriers for which the twin-jets are destined, although China Southern Airlines disclosed today that it was ordering six A330s and 30 A320s.
Taiwan's China Airlines already has 14 A350s on order but Airbus' backlog data does not show any mainland Chinese carrier as a customer for the type.
Airbus says it has signed today's deal with the China Aviation Supplies Holding Company in Paris. "We feel privileged that China continues to choose Airbus aircraft for the further development of its fleet," says Airbus chief Tom Enders.
